Introduction

Literature data up to 1990 are given in the review done by [1990Gok]. This diagram presents eight solid phases, namely R-Mn6Si, ν-Mn9Si2, αMn3Si, βMn3Si, Mn5Si2, Mn5Si3, MnSi and MnSi1.75, the phases R, ν and Mn5Si3 being non stoichiometric. It is accepted by [2006Gup1, 2006Gup2] for the description of the Co-Mn-Si and Mn-Ni-Si systems. Between the phases R and ν, [1965Gla, 2004Jou] reported the existence of a μ phase, but this is not taken into consideration in the following diagrams.
