Literature Data

The literature dealing with the Al-Zn phase diagram has been extensively reviewed by [1983Mur] and updated by [1994Oka, 1995Oka]. The phase diagram proposed and reproduced in [Mas2] is based on experimental phase boundaries reported in more than twenty papers and does not differ from previous evaluations [1948Str]. It is corroborated by more recent observations of [1992Ara, 1993Kan, 1996Pop]. Expressions for the chemical potential variations of elements during phase transition are proposed by [1986Kuz]. Calphad assessments of the Al-Zn system have been carried out many times by [1986Mey, 1993Che, 1993Mey, 1999Ada, 2000Mat, 2002Che, 2009Was].
