Literature Data

Since the discussion of the Bi-Zn phase diagram in [Mas2], summarizing literature data up to 1988, a series of investigations dealt with the Bi-Zn liquid. [1994Alc] gave a theoretical model extending the work of Hildebrand to predict the (ΔEG / xn xBi ) function in theliquid. [1996Bou] studied the miscibility gap of the Bi-Zn liquid solution by calorimetric analysis and isothermal solubility measurements and fixed the coordinates of the three-phase equilibrium temperature and the critical point. The two-melt phase binary equilibria was also investigated with a γ-ray technique [1996Kha]. The zinc activity in Bi-Zn liquid alloys was measured between 477 and 677°C by [1997Kat] with the cell (-)WZn, ZnOZrO2 (+Y2O3)Bi-Zn, ZnO W(+). [1997Oka] assessed the Bi-Zn...
