Condensed Phases

The mutual solubility of chromium and phosphorus in the solid state is probably very small. The compounds Cr3P, Cr12P7, CrP, CrP2 and CrP4 have been established reliably in the Cr-P system. CrP4 exists only at high temperatures and pressures. Data about the existence of Cr2P and Cr2P3 are controversial. In the review [90Ven, Mas] they are considered equilibrium compounds but have not been found in the latest experimental work [85Mye], which is not taken into account in the review [90Ven].
