The mutual solubility of chromium and phosphorus in the solid state is probably very small. The compounds Cr3P, Cr12P7, CrP, CrP2 and CrP4 have been established reliably in the Cr-P system. CrP4 exists only at high temperatures and pressures. Data about the existence of Cr2P and Cr2P3 are controversial.
