The mutual solubility of chromium and phosphorus in the solid state is probably very small. The compounds Cr₃P, Cr₁₂P₇, CrP, CrP₂ and CrP₄ have been established reliably in the Cr-P system. CrP₄ exists only at high temperatures and pressures. Data about the existence of Cr₂P and Cr₂P₃ are controversial. In the review [90Ven, Mas] they are considered equilibrium compounds but have not been found in the latest experimental work [85Mye], which is not taken into account in the review [90Ven].
