Condensed Phases

The reciprocal solubility of the elements in the solid solution is very small. Two stable compounds (ZnAs2 and Zn3As2) exist in the system with Zn3As2 forming several modifications (α, αʹ and β). At high temperatures and pressures (800-1200°C, 4•109 Pa) another ZnAs compound exists. Several modifications of Zn3As2 have been reported [75Cla, 75Pis, 87Cla]. Crystal structure data of zinc arsenides are presented in Table 1 [Mas].
