Hg - Y (Mercury - Yttrium)

Condensed Phases

The solubility of mercury in yttrium has not measured. The solubility of yttrium in liquid mercury is approximately 0.1 mass% at 150°C, and 1 mass% at 450°C. In the Hg-Y system there are four compounds: YHg4 (Y11Hg45), YHg3, YHg2 and YHg. Data relating to composition and crystal structure of these compounds are listed in Table 1 [Mas].
