Al - Si (Aluminum - Silicon)

Condensed Phases

The solubility of silicon in aluminum at 577°C and normal pressure is 1.6 at.% [84Mur]. The solubility increases with pressure and reaches 4.9 at.% at 2.1•109 Pa [88Min], 10 at.% at 2.8•109 Pa and 15 at.% at 5.4•109 Pa [76Mii]. The Al solubility in solid silicon is very small.
