Hg - Te (Mercury - Tellurium)

Condensed Phases

The solubility of mercury in tellurium at 270°C is 0.003 at.%, reaches a maximum at 370°C (~1.36 at.%) and decreases slightly at the eutectic temperature (411°C) [Mas]. The solubility of tellurium in liquid mercury at temperatures in the region of 230-350°C is 0.001-0.8 at.% [71Paj]. The solubility of mercury in solid tellurium is not known, and hence is supposed to be very small [Mas].
