Nb - Sn (Niobium - Tin)

Condensed Phases

The solubility of tin in solid niobium at room temperature is about ~2 at.%. The maximum solubility at the peritectic temperature of 2130 °C is ~16 at.%. At temperatures of 1568-1803 °C the solutions of tin in the solid niobium in all homogeneity ranges obeys the laws of ideal solutions [82Sch]. Niobium solubility in the solid tin is neglectably small [S].
