Hydrogen forms α- and β-solid solutions with zirconium stabilized by the β-modification of zirconium. The temperature of the α ↔ β-transformation decreases from 863°C for the pure zirconium to the temperature of a eutectoid reaction β-Zr ↔ α-Zr + δ-hydride. The eutectoid reaction is reported in literature over an interval of 547-560°C in different works [56Ell, 56Vau, 58Esp, 71Pae].
