Cd - Te (Cadmium - Tellurium)

Condensed Phases

The mutual solubility of Cd and Te in the solid state is very small. Only one compound (CdTe) forms in the Cd-Te system, which has several allotropic modifications. A detailed review of the CdTe structure and its allotropic transition conditions was presented by Sharma [89Sha].
