H - Sr (Hydrogen - Strontium)

Condensed Phases

Strontium forms γ-hydride and dihydride SrH2 with hydrogen. SrH2 has an allotropic transformation at 885°C. The low temperature α-SrH2 phase has an orthorhombic structure with parameters a = 0.6364 nm, b = 0.7343 nm and c = 0.3875 nm. The high-temperature β-SrH2 has, probably, a bcc lattice [75Lew]
