Co - S (Cobalt - Sulphur)

Condensed Phases

The sulphur solubility in the solid cobalt is very small. Cobalt forms sulphides with the compositions Co₄S₃±_y, Co₉S₈, Co_1-yS, Co₃S₄ and CoS₂. Composition and crystal structure of the compounds are listed in Table 1 [Mas].
