[1993Pav] synthesized binary Dy-Li alloys by arc melting of the pure components (Li with 98.2 mass% and Dy with 99.8 mass.% purity) in purified argon at atmospheric pressure. The specimens were subsequently annealed at 200°C for 240 h in tantalum containers and analyzed by X-ray diffraction. Complete immiscibility has been observed. In a combined experimental and theoretical study, [1998Gan] analyzed a series of Rare Earth - Li diagrams. Samples have been prepared by melting the pure elements (Dy and Li >99.7 mass% purity) in molybdenum crucibles in a resistance furnace under argon overpressure of 0.5 MPa. DTA measurements have been performed at a heating and cooling rate of 20-80K/min again in Mo crucibles. The available information is summarized in Table 1...
