A series of Ce-Li alloys was synthesized by arc melting the pure components of Li with 98.2 mass% purity and Ce with 99.75 mass% purity in a purified argon atmosphere at a pressure of 1.01•105Pa. Processing was followed by an anneal at 200°C during 240 h in tantalum containers and an X-ray analysis. No miscibility of the components Li and Ce was found in alloys annealed at 200°C for 240 h [1989Pav] or at 150°C for 720 h [1989Sha].
