After publication of the Cu-Sc phase diagram in [Mas2] a number of reports on the Cu-Sc phase diagram appeared. [1994Sub1] presented an assessment of the Cu-Sc phase diagram. Actually, [1994Sub1] is a repeat of an earlier review by the same authors [1988Sub], used in [Mas2]. [1994Sub2] compared the binary phase diagrams of the Cu-RE series, where RE are the rare earth metals including Y and Sc. The similarity between the systems with different rare earth metals was noted. The similarity between the Cu-Sc system and other Cu-RE systems was revealed by the presence of compounds with the analogous formulae RECu and RECu2.
