The phase diagram assessed in [Mas2] and [1988Nay] comprises literature data up to 1986. Since then a series of investigations dealt with the system, but mainly concerned thermodynamic data. [1992Kat] and [1995Col] summarized enthalpy data and reported enthalpies of formation of the phases CeMg and CeMg₃. [1995Rok, 1998Rok] assessed Mg-rich sides of Mg-Rare Earth metals system. New reliable data for the solubility of Ce in (Mg) and the eutectic reaction L ↔ (Mg) + CeMg₁₂ are given. [1996Pav] reported on the crystal structure of CeMg₃. [1997Fla] investigated the ternary Ce–Mg–Y system and confirmed the binary phase diagram for the Ce–Mg system reported by [Mas2].
