There are several thermodynamic assessments of the Ba-Cu system: [1984Cha], [1990anM], [1993Kon], [1996Rud], and [1998Lys]. After the paper of [1990anM] was published, new experimental results on the peritectic formation of BaCu₁₃ and on the enthalpy of formation of BaCu have been acquired in [1993Kon], where a fine description of all experimental results has been achieved. New experimental measurements of the enthalpy of mixing [1993Use] of liquid Ba-Cu has been included in the assessment of [1996Rud], however the resulting phase diagram is almost the same as in [1993Kon], although enthalpy of mixing of the liquid phase contradicts early data by [1989Nik]. The assessment of the Ba-Cu system in [1998Lys] is just a re-computation of [1996Rud] in order to employ a different solution model for the melt. The reco...
