Literature Data

The phase diagram of the Cu-Ta system is published by [Mas2]. The liquidus curve calculated by [1989Sub] is based on an unrealistic estimation of the enthalpy of mixing of the liquid. [1991Oka] pointed out that the enthalpy of mixing of a liquid phase having continuous solubility cannot exceed a value much above 20 kJ mol-1 of atoms. Taking into account this consideration and one experimental point on the liquidus curve measured by [1986Ver], the Cu-Ta phase diagram was reevaluated by [1994Sub].
