Literature Data

The literature data relevant to the Ag-Mg binary system up to 1986, are given in the review by [1988Nay]. The assessed phase diagram, based primarily on the results of [1906Zem], [1937Hum], [1943And] and [1968Gan2], reported in [1988Nay], exhibits six solid phases: (Ag), Ag3Mg ord., AgMg, AgMg3, Ag17Mg54, (Mg). Subsequently the Ag-Mg system was studied by several techniques and for different temperature and composition ranges. Recent experimental data are presented in Table 1.
