Most literature up to ~1988 is covered by the assessment of [1992Mur], who quotes as key contribution the work of [1954McP]. Subsequently solid state reactions in the Zr-rich part of the system up to 31 at.% Al were studied by [1992Per] using metallography, XRD, EPMA, and resistance measurements (Table 1), confirming the phases and phase reactions given by [1992Mur] and refining several invariant temperatures and solubility limits. These results corroborate in part the data of [1968Gri], a paper not cited by [1992Mur]. [1993Oka] incorporated part of the data of [1992Per] into the diagram of [1992Mur].
