Literature Data

Publications up to 1982, including thermodynamics, are assessed in [1994Ole]. No later experimental phase diagram data seem to exist for the system. In contrast to that, much thermodynamic work was performed. [1989Som] determined Cu activities in the binary Cu-Si liquid at 1499 and 1549 K at Cu content 40 to 100 at.% using the Knudsen effusion technique. [1991Mes] measured the enthalpy of formation of a liquid alloy with composition Cu3Si as well as the enthalpy of fusion and derived the enthalpy of formation of solid Cu3Si. [1994Wit] studied the partial enthalpies of both components in the melt at 1773 K in the whole concentration range, obtaining more than 100 experimental points; unfortunately, the results are presented only a on small-scale graph and in summary form. More data on the same subje...
