Sb-Zn (Antimony-Zinc)

Marie-Christine Record, Jean-Claude Tedenac

Literature Data

The Sb-Zn phase diagram proposed by [Mas2] is redrawn from [1966Vui] (34 to 51 at.% Zn) and [1927Tak] (remaining parts). It shows four intermediate phases: ZnSb, Zn6Sb5, Zn4Sb3 and Zn3Sb2. Whereas ZnSb and Zn4Sb3 exist at room temperature, Zn3Sb2 exists only from 409°C to its melting point and Zn6Sb5 from 493 to 527°C. Sb3Zn4 and Sb2Zn3 have high- and low-temperature modifications.
