Literature data, apart from thermodynamics, up to 1986 are given in [Mas2]. The Al-Rh system was subsequently studied by several techniques and for different temperature and composition ranges which are listed in Table 1. These investigations confirmed stable compounds of Rh2Al9, Rh2Al5 as well as RhAl, and discovered some new interstitial phases [1992Jun, 1997Gri, 1997Got, 1998Li, 1999Gru, 2000Gru]. This system exhibits six intermetallic compounds: Rh2Al9, two phases O1 and O2 near RhAl3 stoichiometry, Rh2Al5, Rh3Al7 and RhAl, for which the structure and composition are well established.
