A number of thermodynamic assessments have been made of this system [1984Tma, 1990Cha, 1994Ans] and cover all previous experimental investigations. In each case, the GaAs compound was modelled as a stoichiometric phase. More recently, this phase has been treated as having a very small degree of homogeneity at temperatures approaching the melting point [1990Mel, 1993Tan, 1995Oat1, 1995Oat2]. However, no complete phase diagram assessment was produced in these latter cases.
