A ternary γ-brass type phase Ca16Ag18Hg18 was found after melting the > 99.9 mass% pure elements in a sealed silica tube at 850°C [80Pus]. Ag and Hg are randomly distributed. The phase Ca4Hg9 (= Ca16Hg36) has the same structure, but whether there is a range of homogeneity between Ca16Ag18Hg18 and Ca4Hg9 was not investigated.
