Introduction

Only the solid solubility of Ag in the binary CeNi₂ phase has been determined by X-ray powder diffraction and metallographic methods. The CeNi₂ phase dissolves less than 2 at.% Ag [77Olc]. Alloys were prepared by melting the constituents, followed by vacuum annealing for several weeks (the temperature is not reported).
