Introduction
A ternary compound AgCaP was prepared by melting the elements under argon for 10 h at 1000°C, annealing
for 15-20 h at 1100°C and again for 2-3 h at 1200°C [79Mew]. The ternary compound crystallizes
in a modified Fe2P type structure. The density was found to be 4970 g/m3 (theoretically)
and 4910 g/m3 (pycnometrically).
