The entire system has been studied by Köster et al. using microscopical, X-ray, thermal and dilatometric methods applied to approximately 120 alloys. The work is presented in [60Koe1] for the Mn-poor part and in [62Koe1] for the Mn-rich part of the system. The solid phase equilibria have been determined in the Al-rich portion by [49Wak] and in the Ag-rich portion by [57Pet, 59Hal] and [81Pot] using more than 50 alloys in each work. Hall determined the phase equilibria in the Ag-rich corner (> 50 at.% Ag) at 650 and 400°C [59Hal]. Since the first findings of Potter [31Pot], the Ag-corner of this system has attracted a number of investigators because of the low intensity of magnetization, but large coercive force of the Ag5MnAl ("Silmanal") alloy [58Hal, 62Koe2, 71Cas, 72McC...
