Silver - Gold - Antimony

Introduction

Little is known about this system beyond an observation [59Bur], based on X-ray diffraction studies of five ternary alloys, that Ag3Sb can take about 10 at.% Au into solution. Lattice parameters are given in Table 1 for the ternary phase based on Ag3Sb which has an orthorhombic Cu3Ti-type structure (oP8). [70Vya] claim that Ag-Au-Sb electrodeposits, with a maximum of 8 mass% Sb, contain a (Ag,Au) solid solution and a ternary intermetallic compound based on gold or silver. This claim requires verification.
