Introduction

In this system most work has been concerned with determining the extent of the ternary liquid state immiscibility region originating from the Al-Pb binary system. The low density and high density melts were separated over the temperature range from 750 to 1100°C [92Wri, 29Lor, 41Cam, 64Bon], and the concentrations of Ag, Al and Pb were determined by chemical analysis.
