Introduction

The vertical section from InAs to As-75 at.% Ag as well as the liquidus surface were studied by [65Gub] by means of thermal analysis, micrography and microhardness measurements. Only three ternary alloys were used. They were synthesized by melting the elements in sealed evacuated silica ampoules with vibrational agitation. However, for the thermal analysis experiments, the alloys were directly prepared in Stepanov crucibles and the temperatures of the critical effects were measured on cooling. A provisional surface of primary crystallization was drawn and two eutectic equilibria were found at 435 and 550°C respectively. No phase relations were given and no ternary compound was found.
