Introduction

Different groups studied two sections of this system. [73Saf] investigated the section AgBr-TeBr4 by thermographic and thermogravimetric methods. Blachnik and co-workers [73Bla, 85Bla] focused their work on the AgBr-Ag2Te section. The phase diagram was determined in composition steps of 2-5 mole% by thermal analysis (DTA and DSC), X-ray and metallographic studies using elements of 99.999% purity. Karbanov et al.
