Introduction

Knowledge of this system is based mainly on investigations by [73Tul] and [76Tul]. The team studied the region Ag-Ag₂S-CdS-Cd by thermal analysis, microhardness, electrical resistance tests and metallography. The two pseudobinary systems, Ag-CdS and Ag₂S-CdS were established (Fig. 2 and Fig. 3), and five T-c-sections were examined, three of them are shown in Figs. 4, 5, 6. From these results, the liquidus surface of the system Ag-Ag₂S-CdS-Cd and the reaction scheme of the partial system Ag-Ag₂S-CdS were constructed (Fig. 7 and Fig. 8...
