Introduction

The Ag-rich portion of the system has been studied by [30Uen]. Since the author interpreted the thermal analysis and metallographic results without regard to the inevitable existence of three- and four-phase equilibria, only a proportion of the given data are applicable to the liquidus surface. The part below 50 mass% Ag was investigated accurately by [40Geb] using thermal analysis, X-ray and metallographical techniques. Although the phase relations were analyzed at 350°C, only vertical sections at a certain Zn concentration are given.
