Introduction

The complete system has not been investigated, however two teams [81Tyu, 82Tri] have studied independently the Ag2Se-CdSe cross section. Their results agree in the essential features. The pseudobinary equilibrium is of the peritectic type. The solubility of CdSe in Ag2Se is higher than corresponding CdS solubility in Ag2S.
