This system contains two ternary compounds, AgBiS2 and AgBi3S5. AgBiS2 was first prepared by crystallization from liquid Bi containing Ag and S [95Roe]. Ramdohr [38Ram] found an allotropic transformation which occurs very sluggishly. The equilibrium temperature was expected between 204 and 220°C.
