The reaction scheme and some vertical sections of the system were presented by [40Nis] on the basis of differential thermal analyses. Recently, a thermochemical evaluation of the system has been done by an optimization of experimental data for the binary systems [86Mey1, 86Mey2] and of the ternary system Al-Si-Zn [86Mey2]. In this calculation, the Gibbs free energy functions of the pure phases are represented by the polynomial equation and excess Gibbs energy of solution phases is described using the Redlich-Kister equation. [86Mey2] presented a liquidus surface and several isothermal sections of the system at 247, 307, 357, 385, 527 and 727°C.
